…... met Tom Sheppard and by studied escort work persuaded him he was under arrest and the whole thing took a turn to the legal. The dreaded meeting was calm and the subject passed over very quickly.

Don Brimms got far too interested in the goings-on and by careful inattention to his swindle made a determined effort to poison everyone by making the coffee with hot lemonade. This resulted in a general reorganisation of the swindle and by the end of the week a new system had been introduced with the idea of getting plenty of goodies on a payment basis.

There was little accomplished as aircraft serviceability was not very good; the Sheppard scheme which never really had a chance to work was modified and it seemed rather as if each day saw a new scheme to improve aviation.

There were some trials for the athletes on Monday afternoon but most of the 208th prefer the horizontal-three-feet high eyes-shut game and so we were not very well represented. Moose was one of the few that Sports Officer Wee Wee Tim managed to get out and he threw things with great might.

Monday evening there was a Happy Moose Day celebration on the occasion of his birthday - and a splendid thrash developed.

Tuesday morning was one of Those Days and fortunately for constitutions there were not many aircraft from the 'C' Flight dominion, but Battle Flight had to be maintained and there to do his stuff was Moose who had spent the night in the bath (with bedding - of course). After the first two details had been flown a power cut in the station electricity supply prevented further flying as no fuel could be obtained from storage. The only notable event was the small civilised party when 'Sir' and six of the chasps were entertained by the Station Commander.

The weather throughout the week was distinctly un-Cypriot, Jack the resident and Don Dewhurst (who has been here before with his previous squadron) kept reassuring everyone that it would change; however there was sufficient cloud to actual time to be claimed honestly and plenty of it too - there was even precipitation (rain) on the first three days of the week. The rain cleared by gave way to a steady strong wind which by Saturday had Don Brimms concerned for the welfare of his associates and had him outside tightening all the guy ropes as the tented-type crewroom threatened to get airborne.
