One hundred years ago in September 1922, 208 Squadron found itself spearheading what today would be termed an Air Expeditionary Wing, when it was given orders to deploy to San Stefano near Constantinople in Turkey. Robert Alexander Little
Amongst the first pilots posted to Naval 8 Squadron on its formation in October 1916, Robert Alexander Little, DSO & Bar, DSC & Bar is generally regarded as the most successful Australian flying ace, with an official tally of 47 victories. 27 May 2023 marks the 105th Anniversary of his death in action at the age of only 22.
