Aden Ferries
Click on the picture on the left to read 3 short stories by Al Thomas about ferry flights that he made whilst serving on 208 Squadron from January 1955 until August 1957. Also included is an extract from the same era by Les Phipps, who was later Air Vice Marshal and Air Secretary. All of these illustrate how 208 Squadron operated and navigated at the time.
Wg Cdr Tom Neil - In Memoriam
Wg Cdr Tom Neil, former Battle of Britain fighter ‘ace’ and CO of 208 Sqn between May 1953 and November 1955, passed away on 11 July 2018, at the age of 97.

On Laughter-Silvered Wings
The 2012 Newsletter recorded the fact that Geoff Green, a Meteor pilot on 208 Sqn at Abu Sueir from 1953-1955, had later managed to get his hands on a Spitfire at Woodvale. Click on the picture on the right to read his account of how the deed was accomplished. Geoff, who was already ill when he wrote the article, passed away in 2016.
